Introduction

software is a power management solution for energy suppliers and consumers. It allows you to manage energy information from metering and control devices installed in your facility or other remote locations. The product offers control capabilities and comprehensive power quality and reliability analyses to help you reduce energy-related costs.

The product supports multiple communications standards and protocols available on various intelligent metering devices. You can also connect to existing power monitoring systems through industry standard protocols such as Modbus, OPC, DNP and XML.

If no supported SQL Server version is detected during the installation of on a Standalone Server, then SQL Server 2014 Express is installed.

If a supported edition of SQL Server Express is already installed but not configured with a database instance for use with , the installer adds the required database instance. Otherwise, one of the following SQL Server editions needs to be installed prior to installing software. See the "Installing SQL Server" topic in the StruxureWare Installation Guide for more information.

Note that supported 32-bit and 64-bit SQL Server editions can only be installed on supported 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems, respectively.

You can use an existing SQL Server instance of these editions to host the product's databases.
